Getting to Know Us

Donald Gross, Jr.

DRG CPBJ photo III first became attracted to the world of finance and investments during my Intro to Finance class at Lehigh University. I saw a field of endeavor that was intellectually stimulating and always changing. Even after being in the investment business for 30 years, I still learn something new every day.

Once I entered the investment field I realized how much bad advice there is out in the marketplace, whether it be from mass-market magazines or large brokerage houses. Time and time again I saw advice that was incorrect, unsupported or favored the advisor over the client. I decided I could do things differently.

I founded Gross Investments in 1988 as both an investment management and investment consulting firm. When I set up shop in my small windowless office in downtown Lancaster, I was Gross Investment’s only employee. My first year I brought in 10 clients and taught CPA seminars and college classes on the side at F&M, Elizabethtown and Millersville.

I hired my first employee in 2001. I have built a business where my clients and I are in a positive relationship. When clients receive sound investment advice for a fair fee Gross Investments wins their confidence and referrals. And that is why I get up in the morning!
